Silverstone Stuey

After a break of over 3 years, Parish Councillor Stuart Tranter decided to dust the cobwebs off his ageing car (not to mention the driver!) and make a return to Motor racing by entering the MG Cup races at Silverstone.

After struggling to fit into his racing suit he proved that there is life in the old dog yet by finishing second in race 1 and third in race 2.

A full report on the outing can be found on the Hatton Village Facebook pages.

May Resident’s Lunch

Residents’ lunch

The AGM of the Hatton Village Community Association (HVCA)

was held at the Hatton Arms during the last residents’ lunch.

The Chairman reported that the HVCA was in good heart with an average of approximately 20 residents attending the lunches.

The Officers were re-elected for a further term.

Chairman Robin Brocklehurst, Secretary Julian Wrigley and Treasurer Richard Roseby.

Surprisingly there were no other nominations!

The next Residents Lunch is Tuesday 22nd May at the Hatton Arms. All are very welcome not just the 0ver 60’s.

Please advise your wish to attend to Robin on 730030 or email at

Take your poo bag home…

Recently there have been issues raised by villagers about dog fouling on paths and in people’s gardens. If your dog is off their rein when walking please ensure your are aware of where they are so that you can pick up any  toilets they may do.

Please take your dog waste bag home with you. If you are tempted to leave  it to be collected on your return journey then remember where it was left.

Recently a regular litter picker picked up over 30 poo bags that had just been left.

We know visiting walkers are a problem but we can also do more to alleviate this health and safety issue.

Fun for all Day…

Our Community and Social Activity Group

needs help at

this year’s

If you could spare an hour of your time from about 12pm to 4.30 pm so that everyone can enjoy the day and to enable our regular Hatton volunteers to grab some time to spend a penny or a pound or

even get a bite to eat and a drink J

The more help the merrier!

Our fun day raises money to enable subsidies for Hatton’s Lunch Club, Hatton’s Film Club and for Hatton’s Halloween Party to name but a few of the events. It also raises money for charities and last year’s funds helped buy our Defibrillator.

As it is Armed Forces Day we will be donating some of the day’s funds to Combat Stress which for almost a century has helped former servicemen and women deal with issues like trauma, anxiety, depression and PTSD. A worthwhile cause I hope you will agree.

Please contact if you can spare a bit of time on the day.
